At first glance, the Avalon looks like it might feel oversized, but that’s not the case at all. Even with the longer profile, it maintains a thickness very similar to the Malibu, which means it sits comfortably in the hand and carries slimmer than you’d expect. It’s a great example of smart proportions done right.
Long, Lean, and Surprisingly Comfortable
The Avalon’s extended blade gives it excellent reach and slicing ability, but Pro-Tech kept the handle profile slim and familiar. If you’re comfortable with a Malibu, you’ll feel right at home here. The black aluminum handle is clean and understated, letting the stonewashed MagnaCut blade do the talking.
This is a manual, thumb-stud-driven design that focuses on smooth action, balance, and everyday usability without drifting into “safe queen” territory.
