The Back Door: Tactile Knife Co. Dreadeye Fixed Blade - Blemished
Couldn't load pickup availability
This is a Back Door offering.
These Dreadeyes feature blemished blade grinds, an issue that ultimately led to the model being discontinued. There are 16 total available. 15 ship with a Kydex sheath, and one ships with a leather sheath. The leather sheath will be randomly included in one order unless you leave a note at checkout requesting not to receive leather.
There are no functional issues with these knives. The blemishes are cosmetic only and do not affect performance, heat treatment, or durability.
About The Back Door
The Back Door is where perfectly good knives with imperfect stories live.
This is where you’ll find discontinued models, cosmetic quirks, returns, prototypes, and one-off situations that don’t fit the main shop. Nothing here has a functional problem.
Every knife in The Back Door is fully disclosed, honestly described, and priced accordingly. Inventory is limited, unpredictable, and first come, first served.
You can always get lucky in The Back Door.
About the Dreadeye
The Dreadeye was a compact fixed blade from Tactile Knife Co., designed as a purpose-built, American-made utility blade with clean lines and practical ergonomics. While the design itself was well received, the grinding challenges associated with the blade ultimately made it unsustainable for continued production.
What remains is a knife that still delivers the same performance, materials, and USA-made quality Tactile Knife Co. is known for, just with visible grind inconsistencies that prevented it from meeting full production standards.

Why You’ll Want It
Discontinued American-made knives rarely surface in quantity, especially directly from the maker. This is an opportunity to own a real piece of Tactile Knife Co. history at a reduced price, while still getting a fully functional fixed blade built in the United States.
Supporting knives made here supports continued domestic manufacturing. If you want a hard-use fixed blade with a real backstory and genuine scarcity, the Dreadeye belongs on your belt or in your collection.
